About every week (usually less frequently), I send an announcement about upcoming classes and events at the studio. Occasionally, people wish to be removed from the distribution list. I understand - we all receive a lot of email every day.

Since the studio opened its doors over three years ago, subscribers to the mailing list have always been able to unsubscribe themselves by following the instructions at the bottom of each message sent to the list.

Unsubscribing involves visiting the page for the Announcements mailing list, providing your email address, and pressing enter. This is much easier than the manual steps required for me to unsubscribe the people who request it by email.

Sending an email message to announcements-request@artofdancemadison.com with the word “unsubscribe” in the message body (no quotes) will also work. Be certain to send the message from the address at which you receive the studio’s announcements.

Each method may result in the system sending you an “are you sure” type of message, but after that, you are done! I’m sad to see you leave the list, but I hope that you are now empowered to manage your own mailing list subscription.
