This class is intended for people new to partner dancing or new to Salsa dancing and will move at an appropriate pace. Experienced dancers are encouraged to enroll and refine your basics!
In this 75-minute class meeting each week for eight weeks you will discover how to produce many of the common dance moves you see at nightclubs where people dance Salsa.
Improve your own balance and learn to recognize how each partner influences the balance of the other. Develop an understanding of how you move your own body and how those movements are felt and interpreted by your partner. (Applies to leads and follows alike.) Build the fundamentals for leading and following well. Exercise those fundamentals to invent your own moves!

Take your dancing one the road and show the judges what you can do!
At the Appleton Competiton, students of dance compete with each other (amateur entries) or their teachers (professional/amateur aka pro/am entries) in either solo (choreographed) or freestyle (not choreographed) dances.
This is the second year the studio will participate in this fun amateur and pro/am competiton!
We will spend Friday night in Appleton to arrive fresh and ready to compete on Saturday morning.
