Regardless of your desired transportation option (below), I need an accurate list of atendees by noon on Tuesday, 20 February 2007.
Hotels must be reserved in advance. Tickets must be purchased in advance. You are committing to attend and agreeing to pay the admission fees (see below) and hotel costs by saying you will attend. No refunds are available. No cancellations will be honored!
This year is the third year the studio has attended this amature, pro-am, and professional competition. However, it is the first year that we will be entering competitive events!
Studio owner Darrell Dieringer and his professional partner Amanda Wolf make their debut together at this competion. Come to offer support and to cheer us on.
Two Transportation Options
Leaving Friday: We will carpool and caravan to Indiana (just across the border from Chicago) on Friday, 23 February 2007 at 5pm, spend Friday night in a hotel (sharing rooms), watch the amateur and pro-am events all day Saturday, and stay for the Saturday night professional competition!
Leaving Saturday: Instead of spending two nights in Indiana and the whole day at the competition, you can come for just the Saturday professional competiton, spending Saturday night at a hotel. Meet at the studio at 2pm on Saturday, 24 February 2007. Please post a comment (below) to indicate whether you are willing to drive or if you need a ride. Passengers, please provide gas money and toll road money for the drivers

Accomodations
The cost of the hotel for two nights will depend on the number of people who RSVP (follow link at the bottom of this message). If you wish to secure your own lodging independent of the group, you may. Hotel details will appear here soon. The group will not be staying at the Radisson (where the competition is held).
Transportation
Again, depending on the number of people who RSVP, we will either rent a normal-size van or a very large van. You are, of course, welcome to secure your own transportation.
Total Cost
In the past when we have obtained rooms and shared, we have spent about $30/person/night. I estimate an out-of-pocket cost of $150/person for the whole weekend. Your meals will be extra. Bring money for shopping!
What to Bring
You will need your overnight supplies - contact lense stuff, clothes to wear for sleeping, toothbrush, swimming suit (for hotel pool / hot tub), etc. You may want to bring a blanket for the van ride / hotel. Money for shopping and meals.
What to Wear
People do dress up for attending the Saturday evening portion of the competition. I suggest semi-formal attire - suites and dresses or fancier. For watching the daytime events on Saturday, business casual attire is fine.
We will spend Saturday night in Indiana and return to Madison Sunday.
Show your support for the studio and spend an entire weekend immersed in ballroom dancing!

No video cameras allowed in the ballroom. No smoking in the ballroom.
To participate in any available carpool, caravan, or other accommodations (if offered), you must register in advance. RSVP to Road Trips.

Post your comment here to indicate whether you can drive or if you need a ride for departing on Saturday, 24 February 2007.
Please remember to RSVP.
