The competition involves people of all skill levels. It is very encouraging to watch the new dancers. It makes you think back to when you were in their shoes, and gives you a feeling of accomplishment when you realize that your skill and ability has increased tremendously since you first started out. It is also quite motivating to watch the dancers who are far more skilled than you. It gives you something to work toward, and all their beautiful costumes make you want to go out shopping. Finally, the scores and feed back you receive from the judges gives you a better idea of your strengths and weaknesses so you can work on improving your dancing.
