Rumba 101

Beginning 11 March 2010, Sarah is teaching Rumba 101! This four-week class is perfect for people who have never taken a dance class before or who have never danced Rumba before. Learn something new before Spring arrives!

Salsa/Latin 103

Beginning 11 March 2010, Darrell is teaching Salsa/Latin 103! This eight-week class is designed for dancers who have already completed one of our 101 classes, or dancers who have completed or are presently enrolled in one of the classes that Darrell teaches for UW Continuing Studies.

In this class, we will build upon your knowledge of Cuddles and Hammerlocks to develop even more creative and exciting Salsa moves! We will also specifically cover two additional dances – Cha Cha and Bolero. Learn some great moves to go out dancing at one of Madison’s great Salsa clubs!

USA Dance

We are making great progress in the creation of an officially-recognized Madison chapter of USA Dance. Our next task is to finalize the members of the Steering Committee (volunteers – let us know by Contacting Sarah or by Leaving a Comment), followed by planning an icebreaker Social Dance.

Volunteers who contacted us have already received (or will soon) their invitation to the USA Dance Madison Formation Wiki, an online multi-user collaborative environment designed for rapid sharing of information among the Steering Committee and other interested parties.

We are helping to start something important for many dancers who are looking for a welcoming dance environment that does not involve going to a bar – a place for you to dance with your peers. Will you help?
