We are looking for volunteers right away to help form a chapter of USA Dancer in Madison (see below for more information). Contact Us or leave a comment on this page (below) to tell us what you are interested in:
Steering Committee (4-6 members)
- Create a Facebook page
- Help to schedule a public informational meeting to spread the word
- Talk to your dancing friends to drum up members
- Help to write/submit a press release to the Isthmus (and other local papers)
- Distribute fliers/brochures to local dance studios, gyms, community centers, etc.

- Join, pay dues, dance, and have fun!
You may have taken some of our classes and acquired a lot of dance skills. However, where do you go to dance? The college ballroom club is fun for many people, however some dancers would prefer to dance in a different environment.
Madison presently lacks a “USA Dance” chapter.

Many cities across the country have a USA Dance chapter. For instance, some of you have attended the USA Dance events held in Belvidere, IL with Darrell and Sarah. Those events are run by the Northern IL chapter of USA Dance.
Affordable social dance programs are the cornerstone of each Chapter’s activities.

- the events a Madison chapter would hold (mainly dances)

The national USA Dance organization provides a lot of help (in both resources and guidance) in starting a new chapter. Sarah and I are seeking willing volunteers to get this going.

Darrell and Sarah: thank you for initiating this option for Madison. With every class/lesson I take, I appreciate more and more the goodness of dancing: the privilege of meeting interesting and delightful people; the opportunity for self development; and of course, the simple and natural joy of movement. So, yes, count me in to do anything I can to assist in the organizing and maintenance of a Madison USA Dance chapter.

We are learning more and more about what is required. We will need a group of at least 25 interested people, four of whom who are interested in leadership roles in the club.

I can help distribute flyers and brochures. I’m so happy to see you taking the lead in forming this organization. It’s long overdue. Thanks for having such a great vision for us dancers. There will be many people interested in joining once the word gets out. COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!!
