Calling all Art of Dance dancers: LET’S GO DANCE! And since dancing is always more fun when done with friends, we are planning to go out as a group this Friday night, 17 August, to the UW-Madison Ballroom Dance Association (UWMBDA) dance. It is tentatively scheduled for Great Hall in Memorial Union, with open dance from 8:00 – 12:00.

UWMBDA dances are a great opportunity to put all of your new dance moves to use! They are open to both students and non-students, and play a mix of music that will include salsa, merengue, rumba, cha cha, waltz, fox trot, tango, swing, and many others!

Intermediate and Beginner lessons are usually held at 6:00 and 7:00, respectively (free for UWMBDA members, $5 for non-members). General dancing usually starts at 8:00 ($2 for members, $5 for non-members). Check the UWMBDA webpage for more details.

Dress for UWMBDA dances is casual–jeans and a T-shirt are normal. Please bring non-street shoes to dance in!

Though this event appears on the studio's website / calendar, we may know nothing about the event itself. The event is listed here as a convenience for those interested in going out to dance. Please contact the event organizer or the venue where the event is held to confirm location, directions, times, dates, cost, and all other details.
