In preparation for the Summer Twilight Showcase & Competition 2010 in Fort Atkinson, the studio is offering this package of private lessons, group classes, and practice time.
This package is open to the public and expects dancers to understand leading and following and to have a basic understanding of several ballroom dances.
You may compete in Pro/Am events, in which your dance partner is a professional (Darrell or Sarah). You may also compete as an Amateur couple, in which you dance with another student of your choosing. You may compete in all or some of the following dances: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Mambo, Rumba, Bolero, Samba, Swing, Hustle, Nightclub Two-Step, West Coast Swing, Salsa, and Merengue.
There is also the opportunity to perform a pre-choreographed solo dance event in one dance style, with either an instructor or another student.
Good leading, good following, musicality, and numerous figures will be covered. Practice routines will be provided so you can cement your understanding of the various dances.
Attending private lessons and group classes each week provides an incredibly fast way to expand your knowledge in many dances.
Each instructor at the Art of Dance is independent and sets his or her own prices. See Prices for all available private lesson packages. See Group Classes for all avaialable classes. Lesson packages and group class enrollments are not transferable. Limitations may apply. Please see the FAQ and read the studio's Policies.
